I love grape jelly =)

I've got 25 minutes so i shall try to go fast

I stayed for about a week in eureka cause i didn't feel like driving for a bit. I mostly stayed at a camp ground that wasn't too great. It was basicly just a big parking lot. But it was on the bay and sometimes there were nice views. This was the moon rising while i was there one night.

In case anyone is wondering what my truck looks like now with stuff in it... Here 'tis. This is also that parking lot that i stayed in a bit. While i was here i went to the College of the Redwoods a few times to use there showers.

I think that this place was in southern oregon. I'm not sure where though. Ah yes... twas Humbug State Park i think. It was a nice little spot and in the morning i went for a run up this little mountain thingy by the camp site. It was 3 miles and 1700 or so feet up. I was quite pooped after wards.

This place i also can't remember what it's called. But it was inside these huge trees. It was also a huge camp ground. I think it was over 200 camp sites. It was right next to this huge beach that was quite windy.

While at this camp ground i went for a run on the beach. The wind was crazy which made it interesting. When i was running with the wind i would throw my shirt as far behind me as i could and then it would catch up with me and i would try to snach it out of the air. That was quite fun. But it wasn't as much fun running against the wind =)

The next place i stopped was a free camp site in a meadow.... or was this before the other one. It's funny how i can't remember now. Anyways it was pretty neeto. However my nose didn't like it as much as i did. These flowers i think are the culprit.... and the hole-in-the-ground toilet bathroom. For a whole day again my nose was running and eye crying (just the right eye). But i became a master here of the zen art of accepting the runny nose and just let it run. I found that if you don't fite it and blow your nose all the time it's actually not that bad. The boogers just kinda run from your nose into your mouth and you don't sneeze at all. Then when the alergies would go away for a bit and i could breath through my nose again i could smell the toilet =). And for some reason it was quite bad. So i actually prefered the boogers.

The best part about this place was the splediferous creek.

Shoot i'm runnen out of time so i shall just go through the rest quickly and i can come back and edit it later if i want to.

A nice place outside of Tillimook (i think that's how you spell it). Tis in northern Oregon.

There was this really funny family with 3 kids and 4 dogs that had this interesting house/car. The guy had taken his rv and chopped off the back to make it into a flat bed truck... which he used to holl a fifth-wheel. Quite silly i thought.

This was my best meal yet. Pasta with pesto sauce. It was suprisingly easy and tasty. And i had to use my water battle as a mesuring cup.

These are Sharens "Pet deer" that she feeds apples . The two little ones are i think just a couple of months old. She says that the momma deer has been coming around for about 6 years. Sharen was very kind and funny and it was great to stay with her. But now i must save this and go cause i have less than a minute left. I shall continue later =)

I just got through writing a hole bunch...then it was gone. I hate that when it happens.
Well, I really like your posts. It makes me have great memories of the times I traveled like you. It's awesome. Some day I will do it again.

Michael.....thanks for giving us more visuals. You posted some very cool photos, that helped me to imagine something of the journey. I loved the beach shot, and many of the trees/creek ones. The amazingly clear detail of your allergy symptoms and bathroom experience.....well...WHY Michael do you waste your talent on Such Austin Powers type information?? Yes, Mark and your father laughed furiously. I say...Allavert. Love, Mom

Michael Spikal, I hate grape jelly. The other day I was starving and with some friends, they had packed a cooler and had very little viable choices so I chose a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The only jelly they had was grape. Not only did I eat it, but I also sang a little song about loving grape jelly. Then I laughed and nobody knew why. Loved the pics.

I almost forgot, thanks for the food picture! I hope you are home when I am in California because I have so many questions for you, burning ones of course that will assist in the continuation of my life. Okay, I think that that is done now.

the Mike.
I got to see Mark as well as your mom and dad today at the soccer game.
I'm going to have to say that it wasn't the same seeing everyone without you there.
It was still very pleasant getting to chat with them though.
I'm really glad I did too because your dad reminded me of this blog you're keeping.
Looks like you're having a blast and I'm so happy to know that you're still alive.
People ask me all the time and all I can say is that I think you're somewhere in Canada as of now.
Update soon.

Kim.

P.S. If you're on your way back and stop by SF after August 15th let me know because I'll be moved in by then.
You can get a shower, a meal, some rest, and even use our internet if you'd like.
